When we accept a parent's SEN appeal or discrimination claim, we indicate a fortnight in which we expect the hearing will take place. We will ask you to let us know which dates within this fortnight you will be able to attend. We will try to fix a date that is convenient to both parties, and if this does not seem possible within the indicated fortnight, we may ask you for availability on other dates. Occasionally it will not be possible to agree a date that is convenient to everybody. In these circumstances we reserve the right to fix a date without further consultation.
If you are likely to need more time to respond to a request for availability for hearing, you need to contact the Hearing Listings Team as soon as possible to request an extension. This applies to both parties.
